Our condolences for the passing of Lady Uduak Okon Umoh
May 05, 2025
The World Surgical Foundation (WSF) is saddened to learn about the passing of Lady
Uduak Okon Umoh which fateful event occurred on March 3 rd , 2025, following a cardiac
and cerebrovascular incident. We extend our deepest condolences to her twin
daughters Mrs. Mbuotidem Itoro Michael and Miss Etido Ikpe Imeh, and her surviving
sibling Engineer Uwemedimoh Umoh Umoh. We commiserate with the family at this
very difficult period, and we pray that God will give them the strength to bear this painful
loss.
Uduak has been a very cheerful, dedicated, and faithful volunteer with the WSF whom
we cherished for her fortitude and resourcefulness, sacrificing her time and pleasures to
volunteer with the WSF, participating in all our missions without fail, utilizing her skills as
an operating room nurse to help alleviate the pain and suffering of indigent patients who
could not otherwise pay for their surgical conditions but are operated upon and cared for
completely free of charge by WSF volunteers such as Lady Uduak. She greets every
fellow volunteer with a radiant smile, she welcomes every patient into the operating
room with joy and cheerfulness to calm their fears and allay their anxieties, and she
cares for them with love and compassion.
Her smiles are always ready and infectious, she quickly gains acquaintances with new
volunteers, and readily engages in hearty conversations, wisecracking, and sharing
jokes with everyone. She was the perfect volunteer, never complaining, but finding ways
to make bad conditions better, giving wise counsel on how to improve the WSF mission,
and looking for ways to better the lot of our indigent patients.
We at WSF are heartbroken by her demise and we will miss her dearly. Rest in Peace
Mma Uduak, may you find eternal rest in the bosom of the Lord in Jesus name.
Amen.
