Key Event: Laughter is the Best Medicine

September 03, 2016

If you don’t like politics, and who doesn’t love politics, then you owe it to yourself to join the World Surgical Foundation at our Third Annual Key Event, “Laughter is the Best Medicine” on 18 September 2016 featuring The Capitol Steps. Come celebrate your freedom at The Harrisburg Clarion Hotel & Conference Center on a Sunday afternoon with heavy hors d’oeuvres painstakingly crafted by The JDK Group Catering & Events crew. Spend your hard earned money on some art, a quilt, sports memorabilia, or other items that tickle your fancy at our silent auction. Share a drink with your friends while toasting your favorite presidential candidates at the cash bar, and enjoy the musical stylings of Roy Lefever before the performance. Prepare to be equally entertained and enlightened when the Steps take the stage at 3:45 PM. Doors open at 1:30.

Over 30 years ago, The Capitol Steps began as a group of Senate staffers who set out to satirize the very people and places that employed them. In the years that followed, many of the Steps ignored the conventional wisdom (“Don’t quit your day job!”), and although not all of the current members of the Steps are former Capitol Hill staffers, taken together the performers have worked in a total of eighteen Congressional offices and represent 62 years of collective House and Senate staff experience.

Tickets are $100 each and can be purchased online at Eventbee by clicking here. You can also write info@worldsurgicalfoundation.org or call +1 717 2321404 for more information.
